Thanksgiving 2008

Each Thanksgiving we are fortune that both my family and Adam's family get together to celebrate the holiday. This year we met up in College Station at Adam's parents house. My parents drove down from Keller and Adam's sister and brother in law came over with their children. Adam's grandmother was also there. We had a nice time!

After the meal was over we started planning our shopping trip for the next (early) morning. It has become a tradition.

Weekend in the South!

For Adam's 30th Birthday we wanted to do something fun and if you know him he is a HUGE college football fan. So, we decided to go to a college football game (not a Texas A&M game). He decided on the Auburn vs. Georgia game in Auburn, Alabama. We flew into Birmingham, Alabama and saw some of the sights and stayed in Birmingham Friday night. Then, we drove to Auburn, Alabama to watch the game and see the Auburn campus. Saturday night after the game we drove to Montgomery, Alabama. We woke up Sunday morning and saw some of the historical sights in the capital of Montgomery and then we drove to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to see the University of Alabama campus. To conclude our road trip we drove back to Birmingham to the airport. We had a really good time and Alabama is a beautiful state. We loved seeing fall foliage, you don't see that too often in Texas, especially in San Antonio.

Fabric for Maddie's Room

We have chosen the fabrics below for Maddie's room. My mom and I are going to make the bumper, dust ruffle and window valence. All of the pieces will be a combination of the fabrics below. The walls are going to be painted a green color, the green is not as minty looking as it is in the picture. It is more of a sage green. The furniture is on order and it is a dark brown espresso. I will post more pictures as we go, but the room will not be finished until February most likely.

We have a name!

We have decided on a name for our little girl. She is going to be

Madelyn Lily

and we will call her Maddie for short.

Here we are at 22 weeks, almost 23 weeks

Lately we have not been up to much, but we are staying busy. The last two weekends we were in College Station for the Aggie games. This picture is from the A&M vs. Colorado game, which we won. I have to admit that I did not attend the A&M vs OU game this past weekend. Our nephew took my place and went with his Uncle Adam. They are best buds!
I have been taking a digital photography class the past few weeks to pick up on some additional tips and tricks with my camera and with Photoshop. It has been really helpful and has gotten me back into taking pictures.
This Wednesday I have the monthly doctor's appointment, nothing too exciting. I don't have to drink the dreaded orange substance this time (that I know of). I think that will be something to look forward to next month!
